Dominican Republic · Las Américas International Airport (SDQ)
Caribe Service & Equipment Inc. modernized the airfield lighting infrastructure at Las Américas International Airport (SDQ) in the Dominican Republic, replacing the vault-room regulators and installing a new control and monitoring system integrated to the control tower.
The challenge. Las Américas needed to retire aging constant current regulators and gain centralized, real-time control of its airfield lighting — without interrupting the airport's daily operations.
What Caribe Service delivered. In the airport's regulator (vault) room, Caribe Service replaced the existing CCRs with new Reliance Power constant current regulators and supplied and installed an Airfield Lighting Control and Monitoring System (ALCMS) integrated from the regulator room to the control tower, built on ADB Safegate technology.
The outcome. Las Américas now controls and monitors its runway, taxiway, and approach lighting from a single modern interface with real-time fault reporting, on a reliable, standards-compliant foundation.
