Caribe Service & Equipment Inc. supplied and installed a complete new baggage handling system at Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport (EIS) in Tortola, British Virgin Islands, replacing a system that had been in service for 20 years.

The challenge. The airport's two-decade-old baggage system had reached the end of its service life and could no longer keep pace with Tortola's growing passenger traffic. It needed a full replacement — the old equipment removed and an entirely new system built — with minimal disruption to airport operations.

What Caribe Service delivered. Caribe Service removed and disposed of the outdated equipment and supplied and installed a completely new system comprising six conveyor belts, four motorized curves, and two gravity rollers, then commissioned and tested the full departures baggage flow.

The outcome. Terrance B. Lettsome now runs a modern, reliable baggage handling system sized for continued growth, giving passengers and airline handlers a faster, more dependable baggage flow.
